Visiting us is an experience – that’s without question.

A space for new sensations and valuable experiences: the blindekuh puts on various opportunities related to culture and education. Part of our ongoing focus is to find innovative ways to integrate partially sighted people while fostering understanding between fully sighted and visually impaired and blind people.  

No, it is pitch black inside.

Of course. We have lighting in the bathrooms, at reception and in the kitchen.

No. Most of our visitors have the faculty of sight. By contrast, two-thirds of our staff are visually impaired or blind.

No, our chefs are fully sighted.

Blind and visually impaired people use all their senses to find their way around spaces. This allows them to create a ‘map’ of the space in their heads.

Definitely! However, we have found that children under the age of 7 may feel overwhelmed by the darkness, so please keep this in mind.

Our creative, freshly prepared menu changes from month to month according to the season. You can choose from different appetisers, mains (meat or vegetarian) and desserts. 

You choose your dishes at reception. You then receive a card with a number that you give to your waiter. Your order will be recorded directly at our electronic POS. 

At the end of your visit, you give your card to reception and settle your bill. The lights are on here, so you can check if everything is correct.

No. Phones should be turned off in the reception area.
