20 YEARS OF “blindekuh” BASEL
For the 20th anniversary of Basel’s “blindekuh”, around 150 guests came together for a “celebration of connection and dialogue between sighted and non-sighted people”.
The evening was charmingly hosted by teleBasel presenter Katja Haas.
Multiple-time Basel Drum King Maurice Weiss opened the evening with his signature Basel sounds.
This was followed by speeches from our Chair of the Board of Trustees, Christina Fasser, and “blindekuh” co-founder Stefan Zappa.
Another highlight was a performance by the blind choir “Blindsingers”, led by Wanda Tinner.
During the flying dinner that followed, invited guests were also able to sharpen their senses with a sensory trail at “blindekuh”.
Before the evening continued with an informative panel discussion featuring long-standing employees.
To close, our visually impaired employee Cooper Kendall showcased his tenor skills.
Reto Schäublin accompanied the evening musically with his “saxophone”.
